Jennifer Daffon, PsyD., LMHC is an experienced child and adolescent mental health therapist who specializes in working with children facing challenges related to attention-deficit disorders, anxiety, oppositional and defiant behaviors, and mood disorders. She also trained with the University of Washington in their trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy series (TF-CBT). Jennifer earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Seattle.
Her range of experience includes several years working in community mental health where she developed her skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and coordinating care. She’s also worked in group home settings and private practice.
Jennifer enjoys working with children between the ages of 3-12 years old. She incorporates the use of play therapy techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients identify distressing thoughts patterns that are negatively impacting behavior. Jennifer believes that when working with children, including the family can create dynamic change. She works collaboratively with parents to help children learn new skills for coping with life’s challenges and the big emotions that often come with them. Providing parenting support/coaching is an important component included in Jennifer’s approach.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys running, spending time with her two young girls, and baking. Getting time outdoors is important to Jennifer as she likes hiking, camping with her family, and snowboarding.
