Rachel Inabata

Lead TMS Technician

Rachel Inabata is our Lead TMS Technician at Psychiatry Northwest. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. She is currently a Clinical Psychology Doctoral student at Seattle Pacific University with current research interests including the interaction between interpersonal processes and anxiety disorders and OCD. She previously attended Seattle University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, Rachel interned at the University of Washington Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress as a research assistant where she assisted in the development of a study design and protocol and facilitated study visits.

The non-invasive aspect and the treatment of patients with depression is what caught her interest in TMS. Rachel enjoys the interaction with patients and the opportunity to see them improve. She is excited to see the development of TMS treatments for many more diagnoses and would like to see TMS become a more accessible treatment.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her friends, hiking, finding new restaurants, and face-timing her family back home.
