Zhi Chen graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Psychology, focusing his interest in neuroscience and inferential statistics. He first learned of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, a noninvasive alternative treatment for depression, in his neuropsychology class. He was intrigued to learn that patients can continue their day shortly after treatment, much like going to the gym but for their brain! His favorite part of being a TMS technician is getting to know his patients and observing their progression through treatment. He believes that harboring a safe, friendly and non-judgmental environment is critical for positive outcomes in treatment.
Zhi is looking forward to attending graduate school in the future to become a licensed mental health counselor. With his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends, trying new hobbies and slaying dragons in video games.
